2015 March for Life

January 22, 2015 - The 2015 edition of the annual March for Life benefited from much milder temperatures than the 2014 March, and estimates of the number of participants ran as high as half a million. It took three hours for participants to pass by the Capitol building and Supreme Court, a massive turnout by any standards.

As has been the case since the first March for Life in 1974, Virginia Knights of Columbus served as marshals for the event, wearing clearly market white jackets and red marshal's hats. All of the state officers participated, as did scores of other Knight volunteers who lined the National Mall and escorted the March up Constitution Avenue toward the Capitol and Supreme Court.

This year's march was longer than in recent years, beginning 14 14th Street, NW rather than the 7th Street start that had been the previous starting point.
