	17^th Annual John Paul I Art Auction When: October 16, 2010 Doors Open: 6:00pm (pre-auction viewing) Auction: 7:30pm Where: Holy Family Church Activity Center (Gym) 14160 Ferndale Road, Dale City, VA 22193 Admission: $5.00 at the door or from Council Members Other: Door Prizes; Raffles and finger-foods during pre-auction and intermissions. Wire hangers will be provided and attached unless request to omit. Purchases may be picked up on Sunday, October 17 in the Activity Center. Sunday, October 17: After-Auction Sales and pancake breakfast in Activity Center 9:00am – Noon. This Assembly pulls its members from Ascension Council 9285 of Manassas and John Paul I Council 7165 of Dale City. Previously, members of John Paul I Council were associated with Fr. Kelley Assembly in Woodbridge and members of Ascension Council were associated with Bishop Flaherty Assembly in Manassas. The Faithful Navigator for 2009/2010 is Sir Knight Robert Rouleau. Meeting night is the 4^th Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm at the John Paul I Columbian Center in Dale City. The Assembly is named for Captain Edward L. Richardson, Chaplain Corps, United States Navy (Retired). He was a Catholic Priest and Navy Chaplain during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Father Richardson had an accumulated military record spanning 54 years in both an active duty and auxiliary status. Among his numerous citations as a chaplain, he was awarded both the Combat Action Ribbon and the Bronze Star Medal with Combat V. He was also the Virginia State Chaplain until his death in 2008.
