Knights lead Leesburg Christmas parade

Knights from councils and assemblies in Loudoun and western Fairfax Counties led the annual Leesburg Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14, 2013. In addition to Sir Knights from Pope John Paul II Assembly 2914 and St. Elizabeth Baley Seton Assembly 1781 marching in full regalia, Knights and their families from Holy Family Council 6831, Blessed Louis Martin Council 15256, St. Francis de Sales Council 11136 and Our Lady of Hope Council 12791 also marched in the parade, along with a float featuring a Keep Christ and Christmas billboard and youngsters dressed as shepherds and angels. The annual parade begins at a park across the street from St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, and proceeds for more than a mile down King Street in the old historic district of Leesburg.
