The State Council Mid-Year Meeting will be held on Saturday January 10, 2009 at St. Edward's Council 6546 in Richmond. Directions are enclosed and are in the State Directory. Recommended attire for the meeting is jacket and tie. The agenda for the Saturday meeting continues to be in a seminar format and will meet the Membership focus as set by the Supreme Council.

This year the Virginia Knights of Columbus Annual Meeting is being held at the Marriott Fairview Park Hotel in the heart of Northern Virginia. The three-day two-night convention will be held Friday May 1 through Sunday May 3, 2009. Information about the meeting and required registration forms will be published HERE in mid-January.

What is the VKCCI Label Program? VKCCI was formed in 1994 for the purpose of carrying out the first principal of our order, "Charity." VKCCI gives grants to individuals and families who are in financial distress. Through a grant from KOVAR, we can also assist an individual diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities. These grants provide some of the necessities of life for these individuals. Donations from you enable us to continue to give that financial assistance to those who have no other place to turn.

Since July 1, 1994, VKCCI has given 460 grants totaling over $656,000. The major source of income for VKCCI is the Mailing Label Program. Each of you should have already received a set of mailing labels or will receive them within the next few weeks. We ask you to continue to support the Label Program again this year and we sincerely thank you for your generosity.
