Bishop Francis DiLorenzo has restated the policy on the use of swords at Liturgical functions in the Diocese of Richmond.  While the policy permits swords, their use is at the discretion of the celebrant of the liturgy and/or the pastor of the local church.  In other words, if the pastor, the parochical vicar, or the visiting bishop states that swords are not permitted, then swords are not to be carried or used during that ceremony.  There will be NO discussion or debate with the presiding Priest or Bishop.
